Regis Schultz – Chief Executive Officer, JD Sports Fashion plc
Regis Schultz is a seasoned global retail executive and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of JD Sports Fashion plc, a FTSE 100 company and one of the world’s leading retailers of sports fashion and athleisure. Appointed in September 2022, Regis is guiding JD Sports through a multi-year strategic plan focused on international expansion, digital acceleration, and brand-led consumer engagement.
Regis brings over 25 years of executive leadership across listed and privately held companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has a consistent track record of transforming complex retail operations, scaling digital platforms, and leading successful mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to JD Sports, Regis was President of Retail at Al-Futtaim Group (2019–2022), overseeing a multi-brand portfolio across 16 markets. He previously served as CEO of Darty plc (2013–2017), where he led a successful turnaround and merger with Fnac to create one of Europe’s largest electronics and appliance retailers. He continued post-merger as Chief Executive of Retail at Darty.
Earlier, he held senior roles including Group Strategy and Development Director at Kingfisher plc (2008–2013) and CEO of French furniture and electrical retailer BUT (2005–2008). Regis began his career with Carrefour Group (1994–2005), where he held operational and financial leadership roles across Europe and Asia.
